Matthew Holden, Coach
Matthew Holden Coach
Matthew’s time in the gym began during high school as a soccer player with dreams of playing at the collegiate level. However, the more time he spent in the gym the more he fell in love with the environment. He became friends with several powerlifters at the gym, and his love for the sport took off from there. Matthew began his 1-on-1 coaching by coaching his brother and a few close friends. Since then he has expanded his coaching services and has helped guide multiple powerlifters towards progress in the sport. Matthew focuses heavily on longevity in his coaching, by focusing on sustained progress over an athlete’s career. Also, he focuses on the mental side of training, by emphasizing having fun while training. He finds watching an athlete improve their self-confidence, while gaining strength and succeeding in their respective sport, to be the most rewarding aspect of his role as a strength coach.
